AIPC APEX Award, 2018
The international association of congress centres, AIPC, has four-time named Kongresskultur Bregenz one of the three best congress centres in the world.
Kongresskultur Bregenz made it into the top three as early as 2004, 2010 and 2016. The APEX Award, conferred by the association biennially, is based on customer surveys.
This year Kongresskultur Bregenz shared second place with the congress centre in Montréal, US. Winner of the APEX Award was the congress centre in Valencia, Spain. Also taking part this year were the convention centres as Adelaide Convention Centre, Singapore Expo und ICC Durban South Africa.
Only possible with committed personnel
For the award, the Association Internationale des Palais de Congres (AIPC) questions more than 30 nationally and internationally active clients of each of the event centres that submitted an application. Criteria include technical facilities at the congress centre, organizational achievement, project management, catering as well as the programme of accompanying events. “The award is of utmost value for us because it’s based on our customers’ evaluations,” says Gerhard Stübe. “The satisfaction of our customers is the yardstick by which we measure ourselves."
"Kongresskultur Bregenz has become a multiple-award-winning, international top address on Lake Constance," declares commercial director Michael Diem. This wouldn’t be possible, he says, without committed and enthusiastic personnel, adding: "every member of the team contributes to our success". The mayor of Bregenz, Markus Linhart, offered his congratulations to the personnel at Bregenz Festival House: "Being named one of the three best congress centres in the world three times within just a few years is a really special achievement which can’t be praised highly enough. It’s the staff who fill the house with life and make success possible in the first place. This award is a clear illustration of the importance of the Festival and Congress Centre for Bregenz and the region in economic and also cultural terms."
