Cycling to the congress
As a special service for your participants, we have created the conditions for convenient and uncomplicated bike hire. The bikes are intended to enable them to get to and from their accommodation, take trips into the town centre and also to go on short rides along the shore of Lake Constance. Your project manager will be happy to provide you with more details.
All the bikes have been inspected and are roadworthy. They all come equipped with a deep pannier so documents and other items necessary for congresses or events can be conveniently carried. The bicycles are intended to enable Kongresskultur Bregenz guests to get to and from their accommodation, take trips into the town centre and also to go on short rides along the shore of Lake Constance. Congress attendees, speakers and customers can therefore easily get from A to B, treat themselves to a quick break between talks, take a look at the surrounding area or attend a cultural event in town.
To ensure a smooth lending service, Kongresskultur Bregenz has teamed up with a reliable partner. Integra Vorarlberg is an organisation that combines business with social commitment and additionally offers a range of bike related services. Members of the Integra Vorarlberg team do a variety of activities and receive training, improving their prospects on the job market.
In making bikes available, Kongresskultur Bregenz is motivated not only by the service principle but also and above all by concern for the environment. After all, more and more people are aware of the need to behave in an environmentally responsible way. For this reason Kongresskultur Bregenz offers event organisers the possibility of holding "Green Meetings". These are events where a high priority is attached to the conservation of resources, as congresses and events are associated with energy consumption, waste generation, and increased traffic volume. Through an array of coordinated measures Kongresskultur Bregenz is able, however, to keep the environmental impact as low as possible.
The Austrian ecological labels "Green Meetings & Green Events" and "Green Location" are two quality seals created by the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism that publicly recognise environmental friendly management and socially aware action. They were developed in cooperation with the congress industry and the Consumer Information Association (VKI).
