Gerhard Stübe re-elected to EVVC board

Kongresskultur director remains in charge of international affairs at European Association of Event Centres.

Gerhard Stübe re-elected to EVVC board

Wiesbaden/Bregenz, 22 June 18. Gerhard Stübe, director of Kongresskultur Bregenz, has been re-elected to the board of the European Association of Event Centres (EVVC). The vote took place at the regularly scheduled re-election of the EVVC's board members at the annual general meeting coinciding with the MEXCON in Wiesbaden. On the board, Stübe will continue to be responsible for international affairs.

"I am delighted by the re-election on the grounds of the continuity of our work on the board. Issues like training and further education, digitalisation and security, and also projects such as micelab:bodensee and Future Meeting Space do not stop at national borders. This being so, I will continue to try to carry out the function of bridge-builder between countries as well as possible," Stübe said.

The EVVC represents over 750 event centres, convention centres, arenas and special event locations of every size in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other neighbouring European countries.

The EVVC has a broad spectrum of members. The event centres, currently represented by 336 member companies, are joined by individual members from the event industry, honorary members as well as 67 partner companies. This makes the EVVC the most versatile communications network in the sector.

Among the EVVC's important subject areas are the development of training and further education in the sector, compiling key data relevant for the sector, as well as communication with the institutions of the Federal Republic to represent the interests of the event industry.
